Your Telephone Bill:

Charges for local service and equipment are billed one month in advance. Repair charges are billed after they have been completed.

How, When or Where to Pay Your Bill

Your payment is due the 20th of each month. If your payment is not received by the 20th it is considered past due. Bills can be paid by mail, online at SoftTel Pay, through our automated phone system, by debt/credit card by phone or at our local business office, Bank Draft, recurring debt/credit card payment, First Volunteer Bank as well as First Farmers and Merchants Bank. Any bill that shows a PAST DUE amount must be paid either by mail, debt/credit card or at the local business office in Loretto.

If you pay your bill at First Volunteer Bank you must have your bill statement with you. First Volunteer Bank will not accept payment on a bill that shows a PAST DUE amount.

All bills showing a PAST DUE amount must be paid before noon on the day of disconnection – the 10th of each month. If the 10th falls on a weekend bills showing a PAST DUE amount must be paid by noon the first business day following the 10th.

Direct Payment

Direct Payment is a proven method of paying bills. Contact our business office for details on how to apply for this service. CALL (931) 853-4351. We can debit your checking or savings account for the exact amount of your phone bill and send you a statement to verify payment.

How to Get Your Service Restored

If your service is disconnected for non-payment, you may come into the office to reconnect service or pay over the phone with debt or credit card.  There will be a reconnection fee of $41.50 for residential service and $58.50 for business service. You may be required to establish an additional deposit before service can be restored.

Error On Your Bill

If you have a question on your bill, call for one of our service representatives. Explain the possible error to the representative who will help you. If the error cannot be resolved, please pay the undisputed charges on time so you’ll maintain a good payment record while the problem is being investigated.

You Will Be Billed For Changes In Your Service

All changes except termination of service, address or service address changes and disconnection of certain options require a service charge. The amount you are charged depends on the type of change requested. Consult your service representative for different services.

Incorrect Directory Listings

The vast majority of all directory listings are correct, but, as with any job of this size, some errors are bound to occur. If your listing in the directory is incorrect, it cannot be changed until the next edition of the directory is issued. In the meantime, we can make sure the listing is correct in Directory Assistance records. In some cases, it is possible for calls to an incorrect number to be rerouted to the correct number.
